Little Things

Home again. . . .

Amid the comfort of quiet rooms. . . .

Where really not much changes.

"Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart."

--Winnie The Pooh

I needed one of my favorite cloths to cover the table.

And a little change up in the wicker planter. Something simple.

The latest transferware. A covered tureen. . . .

With a platter to match.

(The baby's breath was fresh when we left, but dries beautifully in the vase.)

So summery!

So nice to return to the rows and stacks of one's own order. . . . (or disorder, for that matter!)

Rediscovering the gorgeousness of gleaming silver with expanses of white. . . .

Home, sweet home. . . .

So much more ahead, but enjoying a little catch up with you as July sails by!

Happy days!

Jacqueline

  10. when my little boy Charles was 4 we drove by our Catholic church late in the evening when the lights were glowing out the doors and windows...he asked me if it was heaven.

That's the first thing I thought of when I saw your entire room...this must be what heaven looks like!

  18. Such beauty and peace in your wonderful home setting! I loved the quote, but the thought of July sailing by gripped me. Summer is passing quickly. It's my favorite, with our boys home from school and long days, I cherish (except for the moments I'm pulling out my hair, but those pass. :) Loved this glimpse into your home sweet home. Thank you for sharing! ~julie
